What is the alignment?
The term alignment, we define the process by which you want to match the rotation axes of the trees of one or more machines, the plan for transfer of motion during normal working conditions.

As with the transmission of motion?
For the machine generating the motion (usually an electric motor type) is able to transmit this rotation to the machine tool; between the two machines is necessary to interpose of transmission as depicted below.

Why is it necessary to align?
Proper alignment of machinery, is the primary source of savings in a company because it offers the following advantages:

• Lower energy consumption by machines drive.
• Longer duration of transmission of motion.
• Longer lasting bearings and supports.
• Decrease leaks in areas of the shafts of the motion.
• Decrease vibrations.
  

All the advantages mentioned above, make that beyond the immediate savings related to energy consumption to operate the machinery, there is also the undisputed advantages such as reduced number of hours of maintenance needed for the maintenance of the machines since they are less subject to wear phenomena.

When you need to align and when you only need an inspection?
The alignment is good that we are always performed: for each new installation and whenever there is a mounted machine overhauled.
The checking is necessary to run at least 1 time every two years since during the normal operation of a machine can produce vibrations that could loosen after some time the bolts fastening the base and then modify the original terms of alignment.
In parallel to this control is always good to include in your maintenance program, including vibration control of machinery in order to have more certainty about the real state of wear.

How judge proper alignment?
It is estimated that only 8% of the machinery is properly aligned and as you can see from the chart below, we consider that a machine is when the values of tolerance and openness angular displacement both horizontal and vertical integration are between 0 and 0.05 mm.

Who can benefit from this service?
This service is applied in all applications for all industrial installations and is essential for large machines such as:
